Anyone interested in being a part of the team should attend. We will cover all the little details involved in being a part of our team including practice schedules, performances, fees/dues, nationals & Fall 2012 Tryouts! Meet with coaches Laura Nass & Kayla O'Gorman and returning members to ask questions and get an idea of what our team is like!

Required Technique
​JAZZ HIP HOP​ -Triple turn -Basic understanding of hip hop rhythms
-Fuete turns -Basic understanding of various types of
-Tours hip hop such as popping, locking,
-Splits break dancing, freestyle, etc.
-Center leap -Performance quality and execution
-Right/left leaps -Basic stalls and freezes
-Switch leaps -Ability to demonstrate high physical
-Toe touch endurance
-Kicks
-Turn combinations
-Leg extensions and/or leg turns
-Calypso
Tryouts​

​*This season for tryouts it is highly recommended that you attend both hip hop and jazz tryouts so judges can see that you're well rounded and willing to try new things.

HIP HOP TRYOUTS
- Friday, September 7th 4:00 - 6:30pm
- Check in begins at 3:30pm
- University of Colorado Bear Creek Recreation Center Multipurpose Room

- Saturday, September 8th 9:30am - 12:30pm
- Check in begins at 9:00am
- University of Colorado Bear Creek Recreation Center Multipurpose Room

Please bring application, recent head shot, $30/$45 tryout fee, Waiver Card, Code of Conduct, Buff Card and proper hip hop/jazz attire. Black booty shorts/jazz pants and sports bra are recommended for jazz and sweat pants and non-marking tennis shoes are recommended for hip hop.
